Swedish National Infrastructure for Computing
The Swedish National Infrastructure for Computing (SNIC) is a national research infrastructure that makes available large scale high performance computing resources, storage capacity, and advanced user support, for Swedish researchers.
What is SNIC?
The Swedish National Infrastructure for Computing (SNIC) is a national research infrastructure that makes resources for large scale computation and data storage available for Swedish researchers, as well as provides advanced user support to make efficient use of the SNIC resources. Read more about SNIC.
Where are we?
There are six universities that host HPC resourses for SNIC:
Lund University, Chalmers University of Technology, Linköping University, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Uppsala University and Umeå University
What do we do?
SNIC funds and coordinates resources for high performance computing and data storage.
These resources are available free of charge to Swedish researchers and are configured to suit all kinds of research.
How to start?
In order to get access to the infrastructure, the first thing to do is to apply for an allocation of resource(s).
There are basically three different types of application depending on the size of your project: SMALL, MEDIUM and LARGE.

SNIC User Support
SNIC offers a dedicated user support to users of SNIC compute, cloud, and storage resources. Users with ongoing SNIC projects can apply for this support.
SNIC LARGE Call: SPRING 2021
The calls for SNIC Large compute and Large storage are open. Will close 2021-04-09, 15.00.

SNIC zoom-in, a virtual open-house: 18 March 14:00 - 15:00
Your are invited to discuss services offered by SNIC and how they can be used for your computational needs, help you process your data, and visualise your results.
